If you can't get trailboss use a fast shotgun/pistol powder which are still fairly easy to get hold of. They are actually a lot less smokey than TB, and usually have no issue with case position due to the fast burning rate. They do have the other problem though, in that if you have too much the pressure can spike so high so fast you can pop things without a lot of warning. Safe-safe-safe-boom...

You used to get .218Bee projectiles, which were a very flat nosed segmented bullet of about 55Gr that was perfect for subsonic use and actually really good for things like fallow in .22 Hornet sized rounds. Not sure if they are still available...
