    Sunday stroll

Hi guys had a mint day today well ,this morning wasn't to flash I had a slightly sore head & a slightly sore hand from playing spoons on Saturday night, id never played the game before its good fun especially if you have a slow person like me to take the punishment...some people can be sooo cruel ! .The sun was shining all day with no wind so the little people & I went for a horse /pony ride for the first half of the day by the time I had put ponys back in the paddock & gear away it was 2.30 I thought rite im off , my hunting gear generally lives in the truck so I only had to grab a rifle & head to the hills I was really surprised how the wind had sprung up it was really quite windy a straight westerly ...perfect , by the time I had climbed onto the ridge top it was blowing, I could boldly push through the knee high crown fern without worrying about the deer hearing me , wind is awesome , once I got to where I wanted to be I slowed down a little just sideling from spur to spur heading back down the valley looking at not much sign to good amounts along the way I came to a rocky spur & thought I heard a noise but it was blowing pretty good so looked a little harder but didn't slow down much & bingo 30 meters away down hill I spotted legs ! 8 of them once I sat down on a rock & kinda hunched down I could see under the tree trunks better 1 "smaller " deer & one bigger one thanks to the wind they didn't no I was there the smaller beast was browsing on some broadleaf , angle wasn't that great but the 7.62x39 shooting a 125grn hollow I figered it shouldn't matter to much so long as my shot was good , boom flop really finished a great day , sunset was wicked to .Cheers.
