    A Swedish Hunter Lost

Swedish man fails to return from West Coast hunting trip | Stuff.co.nz
This poor bugger will be doing it hard right now, with the weather coming in. I hope the SAR teams manage to find him alive.

I would imagine he has gone for a unplanned swim probably in the Tasman sea now unfortunately

This is one of the main reasons why I am against letting anyone and everyone into the country to hunt and tramp in our back yard for free.
They should at least be forced to take insurance out before they are allowed anywhere on their own.

It can be hard enough for people that know it well.

More tax payer dollars being spent.

Hope they find him safe and sound.

That's quite a few days since he was last seen and three days over due, but in saying that I have said to my mrs if I'm not back out by the end of the third day of trips due day out, then you start to panic and ring for help. And with the little slips I've had lately she got me a PLB last week.
Hopefully for him he's holding up on a track safe with a sprained ankle.

Here's hoping he is wrapped up warm and dry somewhere safe. (Fingers crossed)

It would be cold enough for even the most prepared. I hope the outcome will be good.

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Finding a used campsite complete with sleeping bag doesn't bode well. 😦

Well they found his camp. Wonder why he wasn't wrapped up in his bag, waiting? Too impatient? Went searching for the searchers? Heard a roar and went looking for meat?

The Regina is a cold steep bitch of a place, especially going in there by foot. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

She was cold at 1200m last night on the coast, I can vouch for that

Agree , hope he's OK. Don't think insurance would help, more overseas people really don't get how changeable our weather can be.
