That is a fine abode, and very hospitable of you Spook old chap. But I for one, would like somewhere that has some deer to hunt.

One of the things I have never understood is this "would like somewhere that has more deer to hunt"...there are plenty of deer in the area but the calibre of the man is lacking...then there is the calibre of the rifle that the man carries that is lacking and he is not prepared to increase it to what the conditions require.
Those that hunt the area on a regular basis take deer on a regular basis.
As for the block at Tarawera...that country is a fucken lot harder to hunt than the Kaimai's

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

You are very easy to get a bite out of Spook
I know there are heaps of deer in the Kaimais mate, as do most others on here. It has simply become a standing forum joke to suggest otherwise.

Yeah well, I thought you might be one of those that need to see at least five deer before you got your shit together to actually take a crack at one.

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
