    Yer it was but no kid around that's y I pull the trigger. I tryed cooking a piece when I got the news and yer tough. Would say she was stressed she was sitting under a tree and died where she layed . It was hung in my shed gir the night it wasn't na warn night and I've fine this be4 ?, could this be y? Or just every now and then u get a tough one?

    The fawn would have been 'planted', usually some distance from where the hind will graze...it wouldnt go anywhere without the dam.

    Sorry i missed this post.

    Probably a bit tough because she had only recently given birth and is or was being sucked dry by a hungry fawn.
    3 days is not much ageing, plenty for a young animal in good nick and putting condition on but an animal doing it hard or looseing condition(like a hind feeding a new fawn) can do with more time,even 10 days.
    If you don't have a chiller hang it as long as you dare then break it down and continue to age in the fridge.
    "Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
