Can anyone give me a link to the application form for the tahr ballot, I cannot for the life of me find it, maybe I'm just having a man look but I'm sure it was just linked from the tahr information page on the doc website in the past.

so is this just a ballot to get droped off? can you still hunt the area without a helicopter drop
Yeap but good luck walking into most of the blocks, allow yourself three or more days either side to get in and out...
Application done, went for Barlow, Lord , and Lambert as I know the blocks well, also applied for Zora as a bit of a wildcard. Fingers and toes crossed...
What number were you? I was 1500 I think, crazy how it's taken off, I'd say will be full of guides and overseas hunters

Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts
Cheers for the heads up, I didn't realise the close off date was so early this time round.
The application fee has friggen jumped up in price a bit, 200%![]()
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!
all the youtube videos showing just how do-able it is to the world are not helping.

Could someone clarify this up for me as I've never applied for this specific ballot. Is this for a paid flight in and out of the area? or is it for access to the area and you have to pay separately for your flights?
$60 doesn't get you a steak dinner these days mate and the money is put towards managing the resource. DOC could always just go in there in march and bomb them all up but they are giving recreational hunters an opportunity to bag a decent bull and some meat in an area that they aggressively manage with aerial culling anyhow.
