Thread: Tahr hunt

Macaulay is good a mate of mine was up there recently and did alright.
April last year we flew into Whale stream and Bush stream on the way up to MT Cook. We seen heaps of animals especially in Bush Stream and our Canadian friend shot a nice 12 inch bull which smashed it's horns in the fall, he did manage to shoot a nice 10 incher to take home. We used the Helicopter line based on the road to Mt Cook and cost $1400 for the trip up to Whale then a pick up mid week and dropped off in Bush Stream then a pick up 3 days later. Great trip. We did see the Heli Hunters while in Whale stream.
