    Tahr Hunting

    I was thinking about venturing into the bigger steeper hills in search of a tahr or 2. I live in Central Otago and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of good areas in Otago or Canterbury. I have never been tahr hunting but I have done lots deer, goat and pig hunting. I was thinking sometime mid to late april. Any help would be great. Cheers

    Good suggestion. Or stay overnight at the Dasler biv.
    You will find bigger steeper hills there.
