Thread: Tahr Trip for 2015

Next year I plan to find some time to head south and finally chase some Tahr (who knows we might even convince Rushy to bring his walking stick (sorry canon) as well)
I know I can bludge a bed in Timaru which really dictates the area to be hunted, what I really need to know is what time of year should I be looking at, and for the guys who regularly shoot them on the eastern side of the Alps what sort of shooting distances are typical? Any other advise will be appreciated. I have worked around Timaru and Waimate in the past so am well acquainted with human hazards of the district
