Doesn’t look like river-crossing weather for any of those main valleys for the next few days.
I wouldn’t go near the Macaulay in the weekend - too many idiots in there.
Any other east coast options for tahr ? Thinking forest creek
If u like a long walk it's about 15-20km of riverbed walking so u wouldn't want it in flood eather as lots of gorges was in there in May tahr num were fairly low option 2 ring station air and fly in
Rivers are rising pretty fast as of about 2-3 hours ago. Wouldn't try anywhere that requires getting your feet too wet in a decent stream or river. Try the hills out the back of Twizel way, no rivers to worry about there. And hope your good on your wind calls, its meant to blow a tad.
The forestry block on forest creek Station was 1080'd about a month ago. I've searched online but can't find any notifications for it.
