In NSW which I think is the same as qld, cat a license is rimfire,shotgun and rimfire shotgun combos, cat b is bolt action or lever action centrefire and centrefire shotgun combos, cat c is semiauto and pump rimfire with mag less than 10 rounds, semiauto and pump centrefire with mag of 5 rounds. No suppressors, length of firearm over 75 cm or goes into a cat h which is pistols etc.
