hey all just wanting to know any decent walk in spots for the tararuas on the north end or on the eastern side as im wanting to take my mate out for the first time.
I was thinking of the kakariki easement to walk in but are after some other options aswell

that easement is one of those ones that doesn't really exist, place was sold to a hunter a few years back,but it hasn't really been poss to use it for a long time I think.i tried to get up there yard back as my brother lives close by but no joy.
Putara road end is decent I've hunted in there plenty PM me and ill send you some hot spots-if ya wanna walk into roaring stag hut(about 3 hrs)its worth a trip.
Anywhere is a decent spot, I have hunted the Tararuas for about 30 years and have always gotten deer in every area.
