Thread: Tararuas

Hey guys,

Anyone been up in the Tararua Forest Park before for deer or goats? I could use some tips on access worth exploring...there seem to be about a billion options! I want to take out a borrowed 7mm08 for an afternoon hunt tomorrow. Weather forecast is for rain from noon onwards and unfortunately this is the only time I can get out!

Rimutakas are another option, I've been there via the incline before but it's very scrubby/goarsey so not sure if off the beaten track on a rainy day is a good option.

Thoughts? Much appreciated!
