Thread: Tauanui Hut area

Hey, has anyone got any info on the area the can provide? I'm looking at heading in the weekend for a noisey. Any info would be great cheers.

yup, it is in the south wairarapa and there have been reports of deer, pigs and goats in the area, Good luck and let us know how you go.

Hey guys, cheers for the info.... We had a good look around. Found a dog not far in on the main track. After taking it for a ride all over the valleys we eventually found its ownner.... They losted it the night before so they were very greatful to be reunited with there pooch!
We eventually found the track to the hutt... After crossing the river afew times it was decided to flag it for another day as the river was alittle high and uncomfortable!
I will look at heading in at later date.
Still any willing friendly info will be great....

Yep good area holding more than a few animals so you should have luck as long as you don't mind looking for them. Have been some great heads pulled out of there over the years...
