Thread: Tauranga DOC office?

I have been checked by a Doc worker twice recently in the Kaimais. He was helping build steps as I passed. I got to talking to him and it turns out he has worked for Doc for 50 years and built a hut I've stayed in.

It doesn't take much time to apply for your permits. Nor to be polite, courteous and to thank the contractors who are doing their best to make our tracks safer. Take the time to tell them how their work makes a difference to people.

600 yards I had one - barrel was in good condition but the bloody thing just would not shoot - threw rounds into a 10 inch group at 100 - put a two groove target barrel on it -improved it somewhat but eventually dumped it - pity cause the whole concept was good -got a no 4 stamped US Property that was accurate

Don't blame DoC- the Government has slashed their budget yet again. Staff get crap salaries, and they are leaving in droves.

They had a "wandering zero"....something to do with the short barrel, muzzle flash hider, harmonics, etc.

It sounds like we've been hunting in the same spot @Snoppernator. I was talking to him on Tuesday. We've also had some input from him on a couple of searches

Actually, after checking your rifle and dog in your photos we crossed paths last week in the bush and talked about where you'd been and where I was heading.

STILL SHOT more animals than all ya Tikkas etc....etc...

Most DoC regional HQ were inaccessible to the public well before this crowd took over. Been isolating themselves from the great unwashed for ages.
