@Moutere. You're wrong on all counts. 1080 poison will accumulate in aquatic organisms and can pose a serious health risk if trout are consumed. I do not know of any trial which conclusively proved that animals, birds or fish that having consumed 1080 poison are safe to consume.

Do not assume this poison in any form is in any way safe.
As an example; three baits will kill a child. Trout can accumulate large amounts by eating mice. So can eels.
Invertebrates are susceptible and so are the insectivore birds.
