    Te Anau..a long shot

I have a mate from UK who is currently in Te Anau area and mad keen to get out for a hunt on deer/Goats/Pigs. He is a good bugger and not afraid to do his bit. Own rifle and gear.
Any offers or simply pointers would be apreciated.
He was to hook up with a guy I know who moved there a while back and now owns the Four square. Murphy stepped in and it turns out that mr 4 square is currently back up here "hunting" Marlin.

Head to glenorchy and take a walk up the dart valley. No hunting until he hits china, ans bluff / road end,,but look at maps, walk the track for an hour and look at the side creeks with clearings that come on down. Whitetail off the track and reds on the clearings / flats. A usually productive place.

Another option is, Hes only a 2 hr drive from piano flat at waikaia. Park ithe domain at the swing bridge, cross the bridge and climb the ridge right at the swingbridge. Either sidle creeks or grunt 3hrs to the clearings straight up. Aways deer there, or can stalk the lower bush edges looking for spring grass eaters.

In to the Borland area near Green Lake, Monawai and the Upper Borland. Should be too hard to find one in the likely spots and right time of day.

Longwoods forest can product a few good animals too.

Even climbing above the North Movora Lake, find net you a Chamois.

There was a huge slip in the Dart in Jan, and they currently have a new lake 1-2hrs up from Chinamans bluff.
