    Te iringa track

Anyone walked over from Clements lately? How is the track condition? All in order? Never done it but looking at doing it versus the poronui way.

It's in good condition back in June last year in to the Tikitiki. It gets a lot of use so it is maintained quite well.

I walked up Te Iringa 3 weeks ago. Track was in great condition with one tree down that’s a bit difficult to navigate. Very crunchy under foot...

Climbed to the top last june/July but never been down the otherwise. Worth doing it over poronui? I can normally get to oamaru in just under 3hrs

Camp at the Kaipo swing bridge. Time your walk right and there's a good chance to see one off the track.

Or before that there's a little feeder creek to the tikitik with a clearing. Woke up to a stag in the creek one year mid april

Normally a good walk mate, well maintained. Much preferred to the boring poronui walk. Often spook deer from the track as mentioned.
