About LinkBacksI think it's $5 per person to drive up Mt John to the observatory. Offes a great view of surrounding area on a clear day. Pricey if you take the tour.
4 WD? Drive up to the Macauley on East side of lake.
Or drive just past airport and take the first right. Braemar Rd. Takes you through abit more tussock country, bringing you out halfway up Lake Pukaki
