    When you guys are using them in the bush is that scanning ahead as you are stalking or more scanning an opposite bush face? Thanks

    How far are the small DNT that you took picture of at the shot show?

    Spot with thermal spotter then I use a torch mounted on my rifle (good cheap option), or a sytong nv scope, or a sytong thermal scope. All work but deer do become torch shy.
    A good torch will work out to 300 yds on a clear night. A couple of nights ago I got 4 out of 10 before they legged it.
    The sytong thermal scope combined with a thermal spotter is simply cheating, but as @Trout says "the deer cheat too 'cos the come out after dark".
