Thread: Thompson's Track/Tuahu Track

We attempted to take quad and 2 trail bikes up track got thru the first slip just, after a lot of effort then came to 2nd one and it was impassable. So we walked up to the summit counting 15 big slips and I mean BIG, hard to even find the track again once you get thru the debris. seen abit of fresh prints on track after the logging slip site. we seen the farmer that owns land backing on to old forestry and he sed they wont be looking at fixing track till next summer if at all. we carried on up to 100 acre clearing but by time we got ther was to dark to see. Its a big mission 20km round trip and no sign for half of it. Wont be doing it again in a hurry. Defiantly deer up ther but shes a big carry out.
