    For those hunting the Kaimai's

    If of interest to you and those awaiting the cold snap the temperature dropped around 6 degrees this morning around the Thompsons Track (Waikato side)...will be way colder up top.

    Yep woke up to a good chill this morning where I am. Last day of work till after Anzac today. Bring it on.

    Coldest night of the year (Taupo) here so far. 4 degrees overnight. May just get a proper temperature Sika roar after all.

    When I came out of Pureora last night, convoy of cars heading in, very seldom see a car in there, more ute territory.

    There was fresh snow yesterday morning on the top of Ruapehu when the cloud cleared. Was just enough to make it feel wintery in Ohakune in the morning.
