Thread: Travers Hut

I would like to take my 13 year old son out on a hunt these holidays. Before now we have always gone and done possums etc, but he wants to get a deer. I have had a look around and was thinking about Travers Hut. Has anyone been here? and if so what is it like, what is the terrain like and are we likely to get anything, also will there be many people there? Does anyone else have any suggestions? The boys always had a few problems with his feet and we would like somewhere where we have to tramp but not really really rough country. Also we are in the Naki so somewhere reasonably close would be a bonus.
