    Or a young stag frustrated that he didn't get any, and still full of energy and frustration.

    I have watched stags really huck up a tussock/bush/sapling for no apparent reason, showing off perhaps ???

    I came across a fresh Sika scrape two weeks ago. Same place I had seen a six pointer the week before.
    Their hormones must be playing up this time of year.

    Deer rubbing is one thing but when they start leaving their beer keg carbon dioxide bottles lying about that is just plain tardy

    I saw heaps of rubs like this on the weekend, I thought it happened all year round?
