Trips planned for when this is all over.....

Well instead of wallowing in self pity , I thought Id look into places to go for a hunt when this is all over.

Places that are on my hit list are places I have never been before, but have always wanted too.

Some with some great history some just out of interest.

    1. Whites Clearing
    2. Rogers Hut
    3. Skips Hut
    4. Totara Hut
    5. Whirinaki Loop.

Lets just hope this covid-19 is over before winter.! So whats on your hit list.?

Also any advice of places to try in Ureweras,Minginui, Ruatahuna etc would be appreciated, PM me if you wish.

    Happy lock down ,stay safe.

I had a helicopter trip planned in May... but this is not a self-pity thread right? I want to go south (obviously!) and get a deer. Any species, could be a yearling, don't care. It would make my year.

Hmmm - so many places to go, man do I have a list as long as your arm.

Ahuriri - the top of the valley, probly take horses
Murchison River - hopefully I might have a packraft by then
Takitimu Mts - must poke my nose back in there

Yup - so much country to explore, luckily I'm only 58 so many more years of new spots

It's good we've had main part of the roar in lockdown so the big stag can get there genetics out for another season. It been good to get all the little jobs at home done.

But soon as the lockdown is over its hunting wherever i can as long as it's not my shift back at work

Seriously looking forward to getting out onto some Canterbury farms for some bunny night shooting, and a deer or pig if they show themselves. Also keen to get out into some rivers in the 4x4 for a wander...
