    two more newbies converted

A successful weekend of fallow hunting in wanganui.
Took two friends hunting and helped them get their first deer. Neither are from hunting backgrounds, and they are both Wellington based and work in govt department.

A deer each, lots of photos, 2 nights in a hut, butchery and stalking. They are hooked

They are already planning the next hunt.

Two more converted to the dark side - now to organize the next hunt for other non hunting friends

If we want to have more influence in shooting politics, we need to increase our numbers. Start small and introduce people to our sport

    Goos stuff.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

yip keep recruting into our sports, there was a great article on it in last fish n game magazine about new shooters and keeping them coming back.
hopefully your new found hunting buddies will be phoning you up to come out WITH THEM sometime soon.
there have been and still are a couple of awesome used rifles for sale on this site.....wood and blue things of beauty not souless plastic jobbies.....a nudge in the right direction could really see your new hunting buddies set up for a good start.

Now that is also a mighty good thing to do.

These 2 guys are not quite ready for waikato yet. I don't want to scare them off just yet

Good one, we need more in our sport to support it and fight the greater unwashed.
