Thread: UK in July

Looks like I will be in Ireland in July and am keen to go hunting for a few days either in Ireland or England with the target species being a roe deer or muncjack and maybe a fox?

With the limited research I have done it looks like roe deer will be in hard antler in July? What are the restrictions or seasons like? Would love to get out for a look so if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. Happy to pay if that's what's required.

Can organise a swap hunt here in New Zealand for any helpful forum members.

I managed to shoot a few Muntjac bucks a few years back. Saw plenty of Roe deer but most were does and outer season. The bucks were too cunning but still saw a few. Saw plenty of fallow too but they were also more outer season.

Search up 'Houghton Hall' on here. I was lucky enough to be taken out by a local after being a part of a forum over there for a while.

With all the restrictions, I found it quite difficult to get out. Even with guided/paid type organisations.

Should be able to hook you up with a fox spotlighting session and possibly a Roe too if you are going to be near Sheffield.
Let me know your plans (where/when) and I will speak to some mates over there.

Where are you going in England , my son is in hants, should have some roe in July, drag it out to August 1 and there will be fallow, might even be able to arrange a munty for you.
