    Upper greenstone info

    Hi guy and gals,
My buddie and I are heading into the upper greenstone on the 16th of May.
I am looking for advice on what the bucks are up to this time of year I have little to no fallow hunting experience apart from shooting a handful of meat animals on a small local doc block in spring/summer.

    Cheers in advance

Big fellas have departed and just the young ones remain atm. In June hunt the inversion area, above the valley floor where it warms up.
    Heaps of animals up there

    Yep, what @Padox and @Gkp said.... 100%.

It's been real dry since February after a wet January and the last few days have also been surprisingly warm. Don't forget to take your binos... might be handy for checking out the scrubby areas in that inversion layer.

    Enjoy.

Take a hot water bottle and a pair of skis. Haha.

They'll be hard to find I expect, holding up tight in the scrub. If you find one let us know where. One things for certain, I won't be joining you. Brrrr!

@hebe take warm clothes, I’ve been in there a few times mid winter and the valley floor probably didn’t get above -5 for the 5 days we were in there had to take the lid off the water tank and axe thru the Ice on top to get water but it’s an awesome valley to visit. As others have said target the area above the frost line, sunny scrubby spots, etc
Shut up, get out & start pushing!
