Thread: US visitors and firearms use

Have a buddy in US and he's keen to come down to NZ to hunt reds in next roar. Holds a US hunting permit (they are state specific in USA).
What are the requirements for a non NZ citizen (in this case USA) to use firearms and hunt in NZ ?
Do they need to get special permit or dispensation or ?
