So i have been looking for a electronic hunting diary but cant find one so i thought i would start a thread to keep all my bits and pieces i do through the year

Nothing new at the moment just a recap of other threads just want to get it all in one place

First goose shoot for the year we shot 215 over 2 spreads. Birds were very cagey and took a lot of work. Had dominos for lunch which doesn't generally happen while hunting all day.

24feb i had a wee fire had the fire brigade out twice

26feb i went for a drive to find some geese. I talked to a couple landowners and got some nice access to lake wainono on some private land seen thousands of ducks and hundreds of geese. That night i got a call from my AI tech and he had found 150 geese on a harvested wheat and beans paddock.

27 feb 4pm we set up (after a revised count) about 100 decoys and 4 blinds. Shooters myself John Brendon and Michael. It was an awesome hunt 70 geese but i was disappointed with my shooting my stoeger doesnt fit me very well

3feb John went back to the stubble paddock and found another 200 geese so we decided to hit them during the high winds forecasted for the next day hoping it might break the mobs up a bit.

We had another great hunt 65 geese. It was hard work in the gale constantly picking up deeks. I had had enough of my stoeger and later in the day i went to town and brought a new shotgun and some averyx goose floaters for my new spot on wainono were im going to try and get my lab beau collecting geese

Im going to try and take more photos start to finish of my hunts so this thread is worth having a look at.

    To be continued

Firemen love dairy farmers I replaced the U/O last May with a Benelli, but I find the last shot is always at a rapidly dissappearing bird

So the Fireys owe you double the beers for not doing the job properly the first time

That last picture is quite neat, looks like an AA gun pointing to the sky at dawn/dusk

Good thread. Your daughter seems to be enjoying the new shotgun! My daughter is coming shooting this season, she got a golden retriever and wants it to retrieve things.

After my average first up effort i now think I've made a decent video. Just tried to make something i like to watch. Unlike some i have fronted up and taken the risk of looking like a tool in front of the camera. There are a few cringe moments for me but shouldnt bother u fullas. I hope its worth watching

Disclaimer: i dont profess to be the best caller and some of it is pretty ave. but tried to make something interesting.
