Versatile projectile choice for 6.5x55 small to mid sized game

I put this in hunting rather than reloading, as its more pertinent to projectile choice on game and hunters experiences, and following on from the post re: tahr hunting with the 6.5 Scan.

Having attempted to digest some of Mr Fosters colossal tomb on the 6.5x55 with regard to projectile choice, I am interested to hear your experiences on what you chaps have used effect on deer. Rather than general banter on any and all .264 projectiles and calibres, just limiting discussion to the 6.5x55, and what you have actually field tested or seen first hand.

I have some loads with 160gr Interlock with the intention of keeping shots under 100m, but I think I should at least have something in the 130-140gr range. I was going to default to 129 or 140gr interlocks but after reading the article I really don't know what to try. Maybe its splitting hairs but worth the discussion nonetheless.

143 eld-x has killed a lot of big red deer for me. Excellent performance always.

I’ve got a bunch of 143gr ELD-X videos for you to watch. If that doesn’t sway you, well, good luck!

If you want cheap but reliable there isint anything wrong with interlocks.

I had a 140 Amax explode on a red deer, requiring a second shot, so wasn't to keen to continue using them for anything other than paper and steel. Not long after that, they were discontinued, and I've been using 143 Eld-x, and they have been all good.
Have a box of 142 LR Accubonds which I am looking at using. Put a few through, and they look promising on paper and over the chrono, but never used them on game.

I like the 125gr partitions but they are pricey.

I expect the Sierra game kings also go well, they are very effective in my 223.

Under 100m any lead tip should do the job.

Pick from that list and you won't be disappointed. I have run 9 of those for targets or hunting.

140 Partitions for me. Not the most accurate projectile but I’m not the most accurate shooter.

If you can get bullet wobble to counteract your wobble you'll be tack driving!

They must be good as just reloaded 700 of my empty case again with the 143eldx.
They just work at a reasonable price
