    Question Waihaha Pureora

Hey team, looking at heading into the pureora's for a couple nights throughout the roar, thinking of heading up and around Waihaha hut/Mangatu stream area, just wondering if anyone had an idea of deer population in there? is it a place worth heading?

The hut is always busy. Fly camp at least an hours walk away from the hut and you will be fine.

It’s all good mate……there was a thread here recently pertaining to the garnishing of information about hunting areas and looking for advice about areas suited to hunting ..it made for interesting reading about ,etiquette, what hunters expect and a plethora of others things when asking for information on this forum or other places …..I just thought it might be of interest to you to read as you are fairly “new”to this site…..it definitely has some very helpful info…..I found it so…..I beleive you can do a search for it……all the best mate

I pig hunted up the waihaha for years, go up to the big clearings and then go the right, or north and camp down in there, most hunters walk past this area to get to the hut, you might just get lucky, but there will be plenty of people about so please be careful.

The big clearings aren't exactly clearings anymore.
