Haven’t been out for a while and my brother in law wants to go for a hunt and maybe camp out in a months time is anyone willing to share any potential game hot spots. Maybe even warm. Scratch that anything that’s not frozen will do.

There is a hut with fire in the kaimai.go up te tui track and follow the sign once in the bush

Te tuhi? I used to cut up the open spur before crossing the creek, once on top zig zag south close to the escarpment, little clearings and some nice bush there.

Read my post again, If I didn't bang before the hut I'd cut over to the swamp. My age is catching up as I can't place where mangamuka hut is yet I've stayed there lots.
