    Hey all. Looking for basic info about this area west of lake Ferry Wairarapa/wellington .

    Just after general info on what the bush is like. Anyone knows ? Please PM me.

    No im not looking for spots.

    Just general area info.

    well the bush is fairly green, theres a few creeks around. theres a hut up there too

    id say theres a few pestys in there, but since your not looking for spots i wont tell ya

    DOC land on the wams web site is pretty gd, You do have to ring for permission and he will want to know specifically where you want to hunt, he has a habit of controlling where people can and cant go once on DOC land

    used to hunt there about 15 years ago, i was after a big stag i saw in there but heard the loggers wounded it and never saw it after that.There was plenty of bush there to look in

    Cripes. I climbed up to the top of the Rimutaka Trig to have a look down into that country. Looked pretty inhospitable and spooky to me. But its always fun to have an explore.
