Any of the DOC blocks around Waimate carry a few. You can park anywhere off the track, walk 500m, and enjoy a few shots. The golden hour either side of sunrise/set see's a few around. During the day, have a good glass around, a snooze, then another good glass. Depending on pressure, the odd one will be around.
Depending on where you go, you can take a device to keep ya daughter occupied, while you catch up on sleep
