Who's in?
Thought we could have a separate thread for the Wanaka Roar blocks. News is due today but I imagine with the lost of those in the Heli accident it's may be a bit later.
Good luck everyone.

any one got info or advice on Cotters Creek block they can share ?
how's the access from Hunter Valley end ? All these side creeks are pretty gorgey at the bottom, assume these are no different. Topo maps shows tracks for both Cotters Crk & Lake Crk - I guess harking back to the culler days & largely over grown.
Are these navigable these days ?
I haven’t found out if I got one with a few mates yet. Cotters was our 4th pic. There is a track all the way up through the bush from the lake. Cotters flat hut is only 2 bed beside an air strip. Haven’t landed there but looked it over from the air. Nice spot near the top end of the bush. There is access from the Arhuriri aswell by going over the dingle pass and walking back down. Or chopper.
Cheers @Cowboy06 - according to DOC the hut is owned by Hunter Valley Station, but not planning to spend much time in Hunter Valley proper. Lake Creek is the side valley with the lake. Cotters itself does not have lake. Both “creeks” on Topo maps show a track on TR for access. But from experience some of these side creeks are pretty gnarly and tough going. Will chopper in and trying to decide best way to move from Lake Crk to Cotters or vice versa. Either via Hunter Valley or via tops at the end of head basins. Might have a spare spot in the party as one of the guys may have to drop out.
I’d be keen. I found out tonight our roar block bids were not successful.
I was looking at the wrong area I thought you were meaning cotters flat up the dingle not on hunter valley, I know the Cochrane’s up the hunter, went to school with digby and Andrew. They still lease or manage it after they sold it to some overseas people a couple years ago. I’ve flown up and down there looking at strips too. Nice country.
Yeah, its a bit confusing with two blocks having the name "Cotters". The Cotters Creek block is on west side of main Hunter Valley
