    wanaka roar ballot results?

    hey hooked myself a Wapiti block, but wondering about the ol Wanaka roar results?
    were they due out today??

    Still haven’t heard anything. Dunno why I care the Wanaka blocks are a deer less joke anyway. Even if I draw one il probably just go to Fiordland instead. Too many bad experiences around Wanaka. And the two helicopter operators are ridiculously priced as well.

    Are they all really that bad 😅 have applied for a couple but havnt actually hunted the area before.

    Iv hunted 6 of the blocks and some mates have hunted others.
    The deer numbers are a joke compared to the doc land I hunt nearer home.
    We usually just go Chamois hunting in the Wanaka blocks.

    Makarora and the ones on the west side of Hawea are a waste of time.
    Blue, Young, Siberia etc the same.

    There’s the odd deer about in them but they are few and far between.

    We got an email this morning saying results will be out on Wed, due high application numbers.

    @Tribrit I’d agree with that but the genetics are there that in some of the other blocks you have the chance of getting a really good trophy, and the country is fantastic to wander around in.
