    Waro , whitcombe styx etc

Gday does anyone know who has been shooting this area lately?

Have heard of a light coloured 500 flying from the whitcombe roadend pad.

Was starting to think we might get a break this year! Was told last week of a white r22 shooting deer and leaving them last week also but that doesnt make a lot of sense.

I'm not advocating for violence here, but I'm surprised an irate person hasn't taken a shot at these WARO guys. Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

Dont hate the player , hate the game.
Waro has its place in game management . It would just be nice if it got a rest once in a while. I thought this year might be the year

Wouldn't be a smart thing to do, they may shoot back.

That’s interesting as the venison price has plunged, I was told most have stopped shooting?

Saw a chopper flying South along the Tararua's, a couple of days ago.
Had deer hanging below and heading in that direction, as fast as his rotors could take him.
Too far away to ID model or operator.
Didn't see him return, so can't point the finger at a local heli operator - but my suspicions were running hot.

Do you know how much prices have dropped
Would not have thought the Corona virus effected the Veni market - but maybe yes

anything going to China is not happening. Up my way Affco has containers of meat sitting humming away staying cold and much of the export timber has stopped.
Would hope no-one would be dumb enough to take a shot at a passing chopper but I do know the feeling when you have walked up the hard way. (now I would take the chopper up if I could afford it every time.
Going back to the 70's Dad's chopper mechanic mate used to complain about fixing bullet holes in chppers. And i don't think he meant the tip of the skid.
