Only wet weather prep I do is, when cleaning, oil the barrel inside and out when putting it in the safe then when going for a walk run a pull-through
Stainless barrel is good to go and just wipe blue barrel with an oiled patch when heading out the door

When cleaning rifle I use a lens pen and keep one in gun bag
Flip up caps to keep debris out which is worse when wet
Tried bicycle inner tube once but did not know about a white powder on the inside till looking through and had nothing to clean with
Dabbing with toilet paper clears enough to see
