    Weekend Recap 17/18 Nov

    Thought i'd set up a post to see how people went over the weekend.

    My story is one of close but no cigar.

    I was stalking along a low ridge when i looked down into a small sunny grassy clearing and spotted a Deer through the rubbish.
    I didn't have shot so i snuck down towards the clearing a bit but when i looked up could no longer see the deer.
    I decided to sneak down into the clearing and just as i got to the edge i spotted the body of a Deer feeding to my left, it was broadside on but i couldn't see its head or neck, wanting to identify my target beyond doubt i crouched down to get a better view and found out that it was a yearling the hard way, the hind saw me and bolted, i managed to bring the rifle up and find the yearling running in my scope but just when i was about to give it some lead it disappeared into the scrub.
    Bit gutted, always nice to come home with some meat but thats hunting isn't it.

    Atleast i was out there doing it!

    How did you guys go
    R

    Richy;

    I went out and set up snares, my ugly trap MkI, and checked them each morning. Zilch. In between setting up/checking, I had work at the local cattery. This morning I was so lucky, I got to clean up after, feed and 'capture' three feral looking angry mutt cats that all had herpes. And then I spent the rest of my two shifts sneezing.

    I bet you are super jealous cos your weekend sounded shit.
