    Weekend Recap 6/7 April

    How'd everybody go this Weekend?
I went out to my local spot with a mate to try get him his 1st deer.
Snuck along, crossed a gully, turned east and heard a roar from below us.
Gave out a roar and got a reply, roared and replied a few more times then all was quiet....bar the stomping
"He's coming, close the bolt and get ready!"
Up he came, only 15m away, but of to the side behind some fern, i got a glimps of rump, then head and antler but my mate had no clear shot from where he was.
Alas the wind betrayed us and he ghosted away
Close but no cigar, but Christ was our hearts working overtime.
Nothing quit prepares you for having a hyped up stag Roaring full tit at you from under 20m away

Never got out this weekend but I will be back down south next weekend come hell or high water. Good on ya RR it really gets the pump working when they come to sort you out.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
