Hey fellas
Just after a bit of info, the mrs and myself have managed to offload the kids this week and i thought we would hit the west coast for a couple of days
I have never done anything on the west coast and just after a bit of info on cham numbers in areas over there?
Looking at the newton range, tara tama, lathrop saddle, general area Any good?

Most of its pretty good. I'd just look on the remote huts page and use one of the trails they have cleared for tops access if you have a few days. Definitely don't assume any ridges are climbable or descendable from the topo plenty isnt. Flick me a pm and I can send you a spot that would suit a few days.
Could try the Copland, huts, hot pools, bridges and could stumble across a chamois anywhere. Further up you might bump in to a Tahr. Best make sure your wife enjoys it!
