Otukota is good however it can be hard going until you get up and over into the Waikamaka River, which should have had a good clean out with the cyclone. Lots of slips and feed areas to check out. Just be certain of the private property boundary on the Mokai Patea Range as it is quite close to Otukota in places. The access over the Mokai from the station has just been re-opened after a prolonged negotiation and we all need to stick to the marked trail. Hot barrels!
