yep wind swirl is always an issue i almost plan to go with the easterly wind direction when bush hunting the southern ruas as it always goes over top and back up.

As already mentioned an Easterly = cloud up high! Have been up the top several times with a light Easterly in the evening get to my spot see deer immediately only to have cloud roll in over the top FAST turning what was 5 minutes earlier a beautiful evening into pea soup. shouldn't be too bad down at lower altitudes but makes for swirly/inconsistent wind conditions
