Thread: Western Ruahines in an easterly

Been going through a bit of a dry patch in the bush hobbiting department lately so though a change in scenery might be in order.

Was thinking about going down the road (4hrs or so) to try a bit more open country and thought that an easterly might be okay as it should be a bit sheltered on the western side.

I'm now reconsidering as it may well be a right pain in the a... with swirling wind etc

Also wondering if it is to late to find them by glassing.

Any feedback from those that know is appreciated.

I don't need to drive 4 hours to hunt with the wind up my bum as I seem to manage to do that rather regularly around here
