Hi gents,
looking to know if anyone has hunted near Whakapapa skifield or in that vacinity of the national park. With the snow no good and the weekend booked on the mountain with the family thought a day hunt would be a better option.
Is it worth it or better to go try slide on the rocks at the skifield?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

The snow on the upper mountain at Whakapapa is actually not bad. The snow line is high, but if you can ride T-bars both the knoll and the valley have OK snow and when it releases mid arvo there's some epic spring skiing.
Ohh that's good news. Maybe a quick board will be ok in the arvo. Will see what the weather does.
