Thread: Whanganui hunting advice

Gidday everyone, just after a rough point in the right direction to get onto some goats or possibly a fallow in the whanganui area. Have been to in the national park and mystery block but haven’t come across any deer and only really seen goats on the road so been unable to shoot any. Any help or advice is appreciated, Cheers!

Their is deer in the mystery block we back onto it and theirs a huge clearing right on our boundary but it’s a mission from the access point to that clearing the mountain bike club is working with doc and council to try and have an old over grown track opened up which will likely see hunting restricted over the summer months but will make it a much better block for hunting when open, best bet currently is probably trains hut in Waitotora

I could have an educated guess at who that was but everybody’s pretty friendly up their one guy who thinks he owns the entire road “doesn’t even live on the road” but he wouldn’t leave a note he’d burn out your car proper scumbag and another gentleman who likes to stick his nose in and point out the obvious I’d be going with the later but then again his house is a we way from the mystery block access
