Thread: Whanganui River Road

Hi guys,

Any pointers for areas in the lower end just above Wanganui?

I haven't been on the general area for a couple of years now, but regularly went up the Waitotara valley prior to that. (That's where I got my Prado tyres shot out)

I have a 4-6 hour job 20mins North of Wanga's and figured I'd take my gear and do an afternoon hunt.

Not sure if there's any doc blocks or cheap private block options. Prefer free

Prefer deer, but goat is good too.

the skyline track is really good for goats and deer, even had pigs out of there. It is doc land so permits are free
