Hey Guys
A little while back I shot a Stag which had no nuts and no antlers and these I know to be called a Hummel? these are born this way and get real big and while not being common are to be found at different times and areas. While shooting off the choppers many years ago I shot 3 of these together aroundNovember when they should have been in velvet, but they had no antlers at all ( no balls either.) Then a couple of weeks ago I shot the biggest Hind I have ever seen ( I was only able to carry the back legs) it was also the ugliest bloody deer I have ever seen kinda looked like it was crossed with a horse or Mule or something, and it was barren and completely dry! Question: non breeding Stag is called a Hummel but what is a Hind called that is barren? Hoping someone in the deer farming industry can put a name to it. I actually only shot the Hind 'cos I thought it was another Hummel just from the size. I'm picking the Stag would have gone around 220kg and the Hind around 180kg which is fucking huge around these parts for Red deer (or anywhere for that matter) This is not a trick question I am just curious as I know there is a name for these buggers but it eludes me at the moment.
