What will the hunting rifles of the future look like ?

I ask this question because in the news at present we have both 'Havana Syndrome' and a disabled Austrailian warship, with magnetic pulse weapons suspected as the cause. https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/world/460...an-aid-mission.
Is it possible that in the future there will be some sort of pulse or stun rifle that works a bit like a Taser but without the wires - a directed energy Tesla rifle ? The US military is working on this type of concept with laser rifles
Stun the Stag, measure the antlers take the photos and let him recover. Or maybe even cut the antlers off and leave the stag to grow a new set next year ?

Considering modern hunting rifles aren't dissimilar to those used 120 years ago I don't expect any sudden changes.

The way our sport is going courtesy of both the Government, police and a gun fearing public we might be using something like this.

To answer the question only certain control types will be aloud to own a fire arm,, what ever that fire arm may look like is any ones guess.
You could possibly be in deep shit if you happened to have a fire arm yourself or anywhere near you..
That's my take on it..................hope I don't offend anyone lol.

That looks like a high-powered throwing attachment to me.

I predict the forum will be renamed "NZ Hunting and Clubbing".

There will be the predictable treads about how the new metal and carbon fiber clubs are ugly when compared to the traditional wooden ones. As well as the benefits of smaller lighter clubs over bigger heavier ones.

    Why cut it's antlers off?
So that no one else can get their photo with it after you?
Why even stun it? Just take a photo of the animal undisturbed rather than taze it possibly stressing it til it may die anyway.
The best camouflage pattern is 'hold still and be quiet. '

Not sure about rifles, but tin foil hits will certainly be outfitted.
